Baldwin had Wurlitzer grands built by Young Chang until about 1996 when production was moved to Samick. In 1990 the Wurlitzer factory was located in Holly Springs, and Corinth, Miss. Also made the Wurlitzer Electronic Piano. Wurlitzer bought the Chickering name in 1985. The following names were controlled by Wurlitzer prior to 1937: Apollo, Julius Bauer & Co., Melville Clark, De Kalb, Farney, Kingston, Student Butterfly Clavichord, Kurtzmann, Merriam, Schaff Bros., Spinette Strad and Underwood. All pianos were manufactured under the trade name of "Wurlitzer".
